About us

Jack and Jill Playschool is the longest standing and only cooperative playschool in the Yuba-Sutter area. We create play-based learning to inspire developmentally appropriate learning and exploration.

What does “cooperative preschool” mean?
A cooperative preschool is one in which the parents participate to help our teachers in the classroom as well as manage the school operations.

How old does my child need to be to attend?
Children must be 2 to attend. We have classes for 2 to 5 year olds.  Our 2-4 year old class is held from 9-12:30pm on Tuesday and Thursday.  Our 3-5 year old class is from 9-12:30pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

As a co-op all families are members and owners of the school. The success of our program depends on family participation throughout the year to provide the best environment for our students. At Jack and Jill Playschool you will experience 70+ years of traditions along with many new educational topics.

Our co-op preschool also functions as a non-profit. We have many fundraisers throughout the school year and can always benefit from local donations.

Call us today to enroll your child not only in a playschool but in a community of parents and children.

Our mission is to foster a love of learning in your little ones, through creative lesson plans and prompts.

Alumni, please join us on our Jack and Jill Playschool Alumni Facebook page to stay up to date with the school and connect with old friends!
